Chris Johns, DDS
Dr. Johns creates extraordinary smiles for his patients by providing comprehensive, state-of-the-art dentistry at his Mill Valley dental office.
He draws upon his decades of experience, superior skills as a dentist, and his innate creativity to custom-design a beautiful smile for each of his patients.
Dr. Johns is a native San Franciscan and a graduate of the University of Pacific School of Dentistry. He practices dentistry in his newly modernized dental facility in Mill Valley, where he has been designing luminous new smiles for over 20 years.
Dr. Johns has trained with the world's foremost experts in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, working one-on-one with pioneer innovator Dr. Robert Maher. Dr. Johns continues to learn and increase his skills by studying with leading-edge dental technology experts.
Outside of the office, Dr. Johns enjoys spending time with his family and has 3 great children that make him very proud. In his free time, he can most often be found at Coyote Point doing what he loves the most. Whether it’s kite surfing or biking, he is always looking for that next land or water adventure.

Joe Bauer, DDS
Joe Bauer is a well-known dentist who grew up in Southern California. He pursued his dental education at UOP School of Dental and graduated in 1980. Joe opened his dental practice in Marin many years ago. Since then, he has enjoyed living and working in the community. Over the years, many of his patients have become his friends.
Joe's main goal with treatment is to provide personalized care and to be thoughtful about what to do now so that his patients have a lifetime of great dental health. He has been heavily involved in implants since the start of his career and has restored more than a thousand cases. In his spare time, Joe loves to indulge in outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, swimming, and pickle ball - which are all possible in beautiful Marin. He also enjoys spending quality time with his three children.
Michelle - Front Desk
Michelle grew up in Marin County and has 30 years of dental experience. She treats her patients like long-time friends and wants to help them to be able to get the care they deserve. She enjoys cooking, gardening, shopping, spending time with her family. Michelle loves kids and is looking forward to becoming a grandma!
Renae - Registered Dental Assistant
& Front Desk
Renae has 17 years of dental experience and works as both a chairside RDA and in the front office, making her adept at the whole package! You'll find her to be very caring. Renae likes skiing, hiking, outdoor sports, and has 12 chickens (she supplies us with organic eggs)! She enjoys being a mom to her two daughters, ages 2 and 5.
Shauna - Registered Dental Assistant
& Front Desk
Shauna grew up in Marin County and has 30 years in dentistry. She has experience treating patients as a RDA, as well as front desk experience. She enjoys caring for patients and appreciates the relationships with our patients and staff. Outside of work, Shauna enjoys cooking and spending time with her family & friends.
Mimi - Registered Dental Hygienist
Mimi grew up in Southern California and originally started out as a Registered Dental Assistant. She later went on to become a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2016. Mimi enjoys the different challenges that come her way and likes being able to remedy them, enabling patients to have a lifetime of great care. She finds her career rewarding and enjoys seeing the results of her work pay off. Outside of work, Mimi enjoys long walks to the ATM and karate.
Tatyana - Registered Dental Assistant
Tatyana is a highly experienced registered dental assistant with over 35 years of practice in the dental industry. Originally from Siberia, she grew up surrounded by nature and developed a love for hiking and the outdoors. After completing her education at Kurgan Medical College in Russia, Tatyana became a licensed dentist and specialized in treating children. Throughout her career, Tatyana has developed a passion for cosmetic dentistry and non-metal dentistry, which allows her to provide her patients with natural-looking and aesthetically pleasing results. Her patients appreciate her gentle touch and her ability to make them feel comfortable during their procedures. When she's not working, Tatyana enjoys spending time with friends and exploring the great outdoors. She's an excellent cook, although she admits that she doesn't particularly enjoy cooking. Nonetheless, her friends always look forward to her delicious meals.
Melissa - Registered Dental Assistant
Melissa has enjoyed her career in dentistry for 25 years. Originally born in Peru, her family moved to San Francisco when she was 12 years old. Having always enjoyed art and working with her hands, going into dentistry was a natural calling. Melissa loves being involved being involved with transforming people’s smiles and helping her patients have a lifetime of great dental health.
In her spare time she loves to work out every day, go for long hikes, travel and spend time with family and friends.
